Uriah and I have some good news to share... Are you ready??
.... We are pregnant!
I am going to be 15 weeks this Monday, have had two ultrasounds and everything looks healthy so far. We are supposed to find out the sex of the baby at 18 weeks, on May 6th, so we will keep you posted. We waited a while to make this announcement on our blog/fb because I had been searching for a job. God has since provided a job for me and today, I told my boss about my pregnancy (which was super nerve-racking). I am very glad that is behind me and now we can focus on just being excited about this baby!!
To catch you all up, I am past the "morning sickness" for the most part, except for me it was evening sickness. Smells sometimes set me off and make me feel sick, but overall I feel much better. Uriah has been wonderful to me during my first trimester, because I wasn't able to make dinner that much. He has been the chef lately in the Dortch family - he's so good to me :)
We are so very excited and feel blessed to have another child... and Addison is very excited too. She keeps asking if she can see the baby and already loves the title of "mommy's big helper". Her new favorite shirt is bright pink and says "big sister"... she is so funny... I know for sure that she is going to be a wonderful big sister.
We would appreciate your prayers through this pregnancy that he/she will be healthy and strong. Also, please pray that as I am in my first year of being a nurse that I would be able to do it well despite being pregnant, and last of all, please pray that I will have energy.
