It's a.... :)

I know that many of you are just are itching to find out what we are having ....

This morning, at 8am we had a doctors appointment with a genetic counselor and a 3D ultrasound to rule out DS, Spina Bifida, and other genetic anomalies. We spend the first 45 minutes going over family histories, ect. Then we were sent to the ultrasound room where the sonographer greeted us.

We were so excited that to this baby - I had never had a 3D ultrasound before, we did not get to do that with Addison. He showed us the baby's head, neck, face, spine, legs, kidneys, heart, stomach....all healthy and within normal limits...  and finally... he said, "now imagine that the baby is sitting on a glass table and you are looking up"... and he showed us this:

So, yes, obviously there is no third leg there = We are having another GIRL!! Yay!!!!!!!! I was soo surprised, because I had this feeling it was going to be a boy and I was sort of nervous about that. I mean, I definitely would have been excited either way, but I am also soo happy its a girl. Here are some other pics (don't be alarmed... she sort of looks just like a little skeleton... I was told this was normal at 18 weeks) :

So she does not have a hole in her head like the picture above implies, the sonographer said it was a problem with the imaging with 3D ultrasounds, you can only see so much depth of the image at a time. Also she was being sort of uncooperative. She wanted to stay in a ball the whole time (as you can see above, her feet are right up there at her head) and she was all nestled up on the right side of my uterus and kept burying her face on the uterine wall.. it was like she was being shy.... or stubborn, one of the two.

I like this one.. Uriah said that I sleep like that.. with my hand on my face... :)

We can't wait to tell Addison... We are trying to figure out a fun way to tell her. Also, we are going to try and video tape it. I have never posted a video on here before, but I will try. Oh, and to clear up any confusion.. there was definitely only one in there. Addison has been going around saying there were two babies in my tummy, which makes me a little uneasy, because they say that children just know about these things... but I can assure you - only one.

We feel so blessed!! We are having ONE, healthy, baby GIRL!! My due date is Oct. 3rd. Thank you so much for your prayers and support and for being excited with us :)

Love to you all!

Until Next Time...
